John Caulfield has quelled talk surrounding his star striker Sean Maguire and says that rumours of a proposed move to England is "paper talk".
Preston North End manager Simon Grayson, as well as owner Peter Ridsdale were in the crowd on Friday night as Cork City beat St. Patrick's Athletic at Richmond Park.
The Premier Division leaders are nine points clear of champions Dundalk and Bray, who sit second and third respectively, and have won all 10 of their games this season.
Talk regarding Maguire's move abroad is nothing new and he may follow in the footsteps of Daryl Horgan and Andy Boyle who moved to Preston from Dundalk late last year.
Speaking to Newstalk Sport's Oisin Langan on Friday night, Caulfield said his side aren't getting distracted by talk of a move.
"July is the window as I keep saying," he said. "Nothing can happen until then. We must focus on every match, the most important game for us is Bray next week.
"There's a lot of paper talk, but that's always gone on. There might be stuff that is and isn't genuine.
"I have to keep Seanie going and I have to keep all of the lads going. That's what we're talking about every week. Getting the head down and working hard."

The Cork City boss was complimentary of the 22-year-old's performance and said his side have remained fully focused on the their domestic campaign this season.
"They know if you want to have the chance to win anything at the end of the season, they have to keep their feet on the ground.
"Seanie did great for Sheppard's second goal. Kevin O'Connor hit the post and Seanie was straight through, we thought that was a penalty.
"I think it was our best win of the season. In the first half we didn't play as well as we could, but to be fair, Pat's played really well.
"Without creating a lot of chances they controlled the game possession-wise. At half time I felt we needed to increase the pace and intensity of our play."
