Wales have received a massive boost ahead of their European Championships quarter-final clash with Belgium as defender Jan Vertonghen has been ruled out of the rest of the tournament.
The left-back/centre back has been ruled out for 6-8 weeks after suffering ligament damage during training.
He joins Vincent Kompany, Nicolas Lombaerts and Dedryck Boyata who are all sidelined for the Belgians through injury.
"Everyone's thoughts are with him," said manager Marc Wilmots today at a press conference, "It is tricky but we have got alternatives. We have alternatives & options there"
Gutted to say that my Euros is over. Good luck to my teammates for the rest of the competition 🇧🇪

As well as the list of injuris in the squad, Thomas Vermaelen’s one-game suspension also impacts on preparations for the game tomorrow.
Kick-off in Lille on Friday night is at 8pm.
