Belgium was always viewed as the hardest match Ireland were going to face in Group E at Euro 2016.
But a week of football has changed the narrative in the meantime.
Our draw with Sweden and the manner of the performance in Paris has really boosted confidence in the Boys in Green's hopes of reaching the last-16.
But later that night, Belgium's weaknesses were there for all to see as Italy tactically out-witted them in a 2-0 result and further boosted confidence on these shores.
The two results and performances combined have really breathed life into the possibility that Martin O'Neill's side can topple the star-studded Belgians in Bordeaux.
The weaknesses for Belgium are clear, from a lack of quality or natural full-backs to a lack of width as wide-men Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne love to cut inside rather than stretch the back-four.
The absence of a No 10 playmaker to unlock defences rather than playing the less mobile Marouane Fellaini is another glaring weakness.
The defence is also missing the leadership and ability of the injured Vincent Kompany.
They are the good bits for Ireland but let's not lose the run of ourselves.
Belgium remain packed with talent across midfield and the forward line and we will be without Jon Walters.
The diamond shape in midfield may survive for Ireland especially against a Belgian side which likes to probe down the centre of the pitch, although Kenny Cunningham has stated that he would prefer a move to 4-5-1 with Robbie Brady higher up the field on the left flank.
Either way, we have some players to cause problems for the opposition with Belgian football writer Bjorn De Cock singling out Jeff Hendrick as a danger man especially after an excellent performance in the draw against Sweden.
Additionally the pressure is on Belgium and not just because of their status as a side ranked 2nd in the FIFA rankings.
At least we have a point which takes us in with a chance heading into the final group game, whereas the Red Devils needs a victory to really give themselves hope after a dismal start to the tournament.
Playing on their fears of failure by frustrating them will be important as he 90 minutes unfold.
