Hull City midfielder David Meyler will miss the remainder of the Premier League season.
The Cork man's club have confirmed that the Ireland international has suffered a medial knee ligament injury in training.
Meyler, who started for Ireland in the recent World Cup qualifier draw with Wales as a late replacement for the injured James McCarthy shortly before kick off on March 24th, is also likely to miss the 2018 FIFA World Cup against Austria in Dublin on June 11th.

Meyler has won 19 Ireland caps since making his debut in October 2012 and was part of Martin O'Neill's squad for Euro 2016.
This season he has made 20 Premier League appearances for a Hull City side involved in a battle against relegation, scoring once against Liverpool back in September 2016.
