FIFA president Gianni Infantino claims the decision to replace high ranking football ethics officials has nothing to do with a cover-up and instead is happening because they've "failed miserably" with reform.
Hans-Joachim Eckert, the official who helped to bring about the tenure of former FIFA president Sepp Blatter, is one of those who has been removed from a post.
Infantino, who was speaking at a FIFA Congress in Bahrain, insists he is committed to tackling corruption within football's world governing body.
"There are a lot of fake news and alternative facts about Fifa circulating," he said.
"Fifa bashing has become a national sport in some countries. It was right but Fifa has changed now."
Infantino added: "Never again. And if there is anyone inside this room or outside of this room who still thinks that he can enrich himself, that he can abuse football, we have one clear message for them: Leave! Leave football! And leave football now! We don't want you."
Infantino also said that in his view the "new FIFA is a democracy, it is not a dictatorship".
