Dundalk have secured their third SSE Airtricity League Premier Division in a row as a 2-1 win over Bohemians at Oriel Park secured 2016 glory.
As well as adding to the 2014 and 2015 title wins for Stephen Kenny's side, it is the 12th league triumph in the Louth club's history and means they qualify for next season's Champions League qualifiers again.
The three points earned against Bohemians means second-placed Cork City cannot catch up on the leaders, with the gap standing at seven points with two games to go.

Andy Boyle opened the scoring for Dundalk against Bohs on 15 minutes. But a quarter hour later, Mark Quigley converted a penalty for Bohs after the referee adjudged that Ronan Finn had fouled Keith Buckley in the box.

But with 28 minutes to go, Dundalk re-took the lead as Brian Gartland finished off Dane Massey's assist.
As well as positive results in the Europa League against Maccabi Tel Aviv and AZ Alkmaar to highlight what has already been a memorable season, the Lilywhites could now achieve a second double in successive years by winning the FAI Cup final on November 6th at Aviva Stadium. However, they will need to beat last year's opponents Cork City again to do so.
There were plenty of smiles from the Dundalk players and fans as the goals went in and once the final whistle had been blown...
