'If we invite Rosenborg onto us, we may be in for a dodgy night'

Sligo Rovers' first leg win over Rosenborg in the Europa League qualifiers was already a wonderful achievement.

But should they finish the job tomorrow on home soil against Norway's most successful club and it will go down as one of the best results in League of Ireland's European history.

The man who will be looking to tactically outwit Rosenborg tomorrow will be manager John Coleman who joined us on the line.

"If we invite Rosenborg onto us and don't attack them, we're going to get ourselves in for a dodgy night. When you tend to do that, you lose the impetus so what we're trying to focus on is trying to take the game to Rosenborg and try and seal the tie with a win," said Coleman, who replaced Ian Baraclough last month.

Coleman expects Rosenborg to improve on their first leg showing, but also feels Sligo have more gears to go through.

There is also the intriguing prospect of taking on a Rosenborg side who have sacked their manager since last week's meeting.

"We've spoken about the impact the new manager might have and that they could change things around. I would be personally surprised if they didn't change things but I can't govern what they do," said Coleman, who has studied the Norwegians closely and warned that they will be "playing against the whole of Sligo".
