It's fair to say, Ireland are not sending the youngest group of players to Euro 2016 this summer.
Far from it in fact, as Martin O'Neill's squad are the oldest on average at 29 and eight months at the end of the qualifying campaign.
That's more than any other squad heading to France with 11 players in the Ireland 23 currently aged 30 or over. Shay Given is the elder statesman in a mature squad, having turned 40 in April.
