"I still have 10 years:" Cristiano Ronaldo says he wants to end his playing days at Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo believes he still has another 10 years of competitive football to play before he retires.

The 31-year-old signed a new contract with Real Madrid today, which will see him remain at the Spanish super power club until June 2021.

His renewed commitment to the Champions League holders comes just days after his colleague Gareth Bale penned a new deal with the club.

And after seven years with the side, Ronaldo says he will sign another deal again after this one expires and that he intends to conclude his professional career there.

"I'm going to be here for another five years, but let it be known this will not be my last contract. I have said many times that I carry this club in my heart, it is part of me and it is a special time in my life."

"Of course I would like to end my career at this club, this is my penultimate contract, I want to be here for many years to come. I want to continue re-writing history at this club."

During his time with Real Madrid, Ronaldo has achieved La Liga and Champions League titles.
