"I am committed": Pochettino moves to kill exit rumours

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino quelled concerns that he would be leaving the club this summer, by insisting he will still be in the hot seat for the start of pre-season.

The Argentinian has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Barcelona job, which will be vacant by the end of the season.

There was also talk that Pochettino might be lured to the Serie A, with Inter Milan set to be interested in both he and Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday afternoon, the 45-year-old made it clear he would not be tempted anywhere else.

"There is no buyout clause in my contract, I will stay here next season," he said.

"There are many rumours, but I am committed to the club. On July 3rd, we have pre-season. I will still be here. Don't worry."

Of Barcelona's interest in him, he explained that he is a fan of a rival club: "I'm an Espanyol supporter - I think then I don't need to speak too much."

Tottenham secured the runners-up spot in the Premier League this season, trailing Chelsea by 10 points with two games to play.

He watched his side beat Manchester United at the final game at White Hart Lane last Sunday afternoon.
