Jose Mourinho has lauded new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic today, claiming that the centre forward has been in magnificent form since arriving at the club in the summer.
Manchester United welcome Fenerbache to Old Trafford this evening and Mourinho says that the Swede - who has scored six goals in all competitions since his arrival - has offered the team something different.
"He’s giving us exactly what we need from him, what we expect from him," Mourinho told reporters ahead of Thursday night's Europa League group stage match.
"I’m really happy. It’s quite beautiful for me to meet him, I don’t know, five or six years later [after being his manager at Inter Milan], and see the same ambition, passion and desire to play and compete.
"I couldn’t be happier, and the guy is really fit and ready to play, so I couldn’t be happier. In terms of his influence in the dressing room, obviously he’s somebody the young guys look at, you can see he’s great for them because he can only influence them positively."
The Portuguese also revealed that Luke Shaw is a certainty to start this evening, saying: "I don’t want to give you the team, honestly.
"Sometimes I do, sometimes I give some tips, but this time Luke Shaw, he plays. I only bring the players [to the press conference] that are going to start. But he’s the only one I will tell you."
Tonight's clash kicks off at 8.05pm, with United also welcoming the return of former striker Robin van Persie, who was influential in guiding United to a 20th league title in Alex Ferguson's last year with the club.
