Has Robbie Keane found a new club?

After weeks of speculation surrounding Robbie Keane's next club, it appears Ireland's record goalscorer is headed to the Middle East.

There had been some speculation that Keane would return to the Championship for a short period where he would finish his career. Some had suspected he would follow Andy Boyle and Daryl Horgan to Preston North End, a team which also boasts Irish players like Aiden McGeady and Greg Cunningham.

On Monday afternoon, Al-Ahli Dubai F.C. posted photos of the 36-year-old training, presumably at the club's training facility.

"Irish star Robbie Keane participates in the morning the cavalry [sic] drills," reads the caption.

Keane left MLS side L.A Galaxy last year after five years with the club. During his time in the United States, Keane made 125 appearances and scored 83 goals for the club.

Having announced his international retirement last year and scoring in his final game against Oman, Keane has been on the lookout for a new club. He has played for Premier League sides Aston Villa, Tottenham, Liverpool and Leeds United over the course of his career. He also made six appearances for Serie A side, Inter Milan.

The player has made no official statements over his social media channels.
