Raheem Sterling will miss Manchester City's Premier League meeting with West Ham on Sunday due to a hamstring injury.
The forward limped out of last week's defeat to Tottenham with six-minutes to go.
The defending Premier League champions say Sterling was assessed at their City Football Academy on Thursday and will continue to be monitored during their winter break.
After the Hammers' visit to the Etihad, City have no Premier League game until their February 22 trip to Leicester.
Pep Guardiola will hope to have Sterling back by the time they face Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday February 26.
