Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has again insisted he is not concerned by Bayern Munich's continued interest in Leroy Sane.
The winger has two years left on his contract but is yet to commit to an extension and Bundesliga champions are keen to bring him back to Germany.
Guardiola says he won't hold any grudge against his former employers.
“We want him to stay and there is an offer waiting to talk with his agents to extend his contract.
“He is a guy who I appreciate a lot. I like him a lot. I think he has an incredible gap to be better in terms of being connected in the game.
“I have said two or three times that we want him and we want him to stay.
“He has an offer, and we are waiting to talk with his agents to extend the contract, so it’s not in our hands.
“He has to decide. If he wants and there is an agreement, then it’s good. But if he wants to leave, he can do it. We will be sad – hopefully, he stays.”
Two-time Premier League winner Sane has scored 39 goals in 133 games for City since joining for €40-million from Schalke in 2017.
