Jack Grealish laughed it off, you'd assume Stephen Quinn would do the same and John Giles has also played it down tonight.
Earlier today, Ireland U21 star Grealish revealed that senior international Quinn had called him a "fake Paddy" during a recent Premier League match between Aston Villa and Hull City.
Grealish was certainly laughing it off when he spoke about it and John said that it was of little importance when he joined us on tonight's show.
"I'd say afterwards when they meet with the Irish team that they'll be the best of pals," said John.
He also mused whether Grealish' hesitation to definitively commit to Ireland may be agent-related in order to raise the 19-year-old's value by linking him with England.
Turning to the Premier League, John thinks Manchester United are in "better nick" after their transfer splurge than they were three weeks ago, but he is cautious about making the jump back into the Top Four.
Although he does not like the 3-5-2 formation that Louis Van Gaal has been using thus far this season, he thinks the arrival of actual full-backs at wing-back will help.
"You can't have wingers like Ashley Young and Valencia as wing backs because you've got to defend some time. It's not so bad when you're playing with actual full-backs who can defend when they have to defend. That'll be the case now."
Meanwhile, Man United sold Danny Welbeck to Arsenal on Deadline Day and citing Thierry Henry who he remembered as being "hopeless" early on before Arsene Wenger developed him into one of the world's great strikers, John thinks there is plenty of potential there.
"In Wenger's case, going to Arsenal could be a terrific move for both of them. The main criticism with Welbeck was that he wasn't a good finisher. You go back to Wenger's time with Henry. I remember him coming in and mostly playing on the left and I thought he was hopeless. But he converted him into a centre-forward of world class and then [Wenger] had Anelka. If he gets [Welbeck] to finish, then he will have a cheap player for the price that he paid because he's got very good qualities."
When asked if he would take Welbeck or Liverpool's new striker Mario Balotelli, John was very clear: "if Balotelli had Welbeck's attitude, he'd be a real player", before making his choice.
