Dundalk completed their second successive capture of the SSE Airtricity League last night, with an easy win over Galway United.
Goals from Dean Shiels, Paddy Barrett and Ciarán Kilduff secured the win at Oriel Park and the victorious effort was rewarded with a trophy presentation after the game. And with domestic dominance now assured, Stephen Kenny's side can now refocus for the Europa League where they have already enjoyed a strong start in the group stages.
An unexpected 1-0 win over Maccabi Tel-Aviv was followed by an unlucky defeat to Zenit, in which Dundalk led for most of the game. Currently sitting in second place in Group D, Dundalk will face Zenit again in the away fixture on November 3rd.
