Cork City advanced to the second round of the Europa League tonight after their 1-1 draw with Linfield meant the SSE Airtricity League side progressed 2-1 on aggregate.
Carrying a 1-0 advantage from the opening leg thanks to Sean Maguire's penalty and they had Maguire to thank once again, as he converted from 12 yards for the second time in as many games.
Cork took the early lead on 49 minutes, but the visitors pegged back just three minutes later thanks to Mark Stafford.
John Caulfield's side could have been further out of sight, but veteran goalkeeper Roy Carroll proved his class as he produced a number of exceptional saves.
