Kevin Foley has joined FC Copenhagen.
No sooner had news broken that the Irish defender had his contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers cancelled, than the switch to the Danish club was confirmed.
Foley links up with former Molineux boss Stale Solbakken in Denmark.
The 30-year-old, whose deal was due to expire in the summer, exited Molineux after a seven-and-a-half-year stay and having made more than 200 first-team appearances.
It says on Wolves' website that the departure was by mutual consent. "Wolves and Kevin Foley have reached agreement to cancel the remainder of his contract," a club statement reads.
“We thank Kevin for his excellent service to Wolves over many years,” said Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett in the same post.
“On behalf of everyone at Wolves I would like to wish him all the very best in his future career.”
Foley has eight caps for Ireland. He famously said he felt "betrayed" by Giovanni Trapattoni when the Italian left him out of the Republic's squad for Euro 2012.
