The FAI has confirmed that an internal investigation into a motivational video and speech by Republic of Ireland manager Stephen Kenny, ahead of their friendly against England last week, has been conducted.
They have also said that the case is now closed and no further action in relation to the incident is required.
A controversy arose this week following a leak to the Daily Mail in relation to the pre-game preparations.
It is not known who provided this sensitive information to the publication.
The Statement in full on Sunday night read:
Earlier this week issues regarding content shared with the senior Ireland men's team ahead of the recent friendly against England at Wembley Stadium were brought to the attention of the FAI.
Following this development, the FAI decided it was appropriate to look inot the matter.
Since then the FAI has had discussions with a number of staff members and players, including the team manager, Stephen Kenny.
The Board has accepted the explanations provided and considers that the matter is now closed.
