Serious doubts emerged on Tuesday over reports that several European federations have asked for Euro 2020 to be delayed until at least 2021.
The news was coming from Italy, where the country is currently on lockdown from the coronavirus outbreak - the new strain being COVID-19.

However, it appears that UEFA have poured cold water on the idea this evening.
Contrary to some reports UEFA has NOT had any requests from national FAs to postpone Euro 2020 for a year and turn it into Euro 2021.

There have been questions about the sustainability of Euro 2020 in its current format, with fixtures being played in 12 cities across the continent.
The news comes as it was confirmed that the Republic of Ireland's match against Slovakia would be played behind closed doors.
The Slovak FA President Jan Kovacik confirmed that the game will go ahead on March 26th but only without supporters.
The FAI followed the confirmation with a statement of their own saying it was on the instruction of the Slovakian government.
The Slovakian government announced on Monday it was imposing a 14-day suspension of all sporting events in the country.
The FAI say all fans who purchased tickets for the game in Bratislava will be refunded and have urged supporters with queries regarding refunds to contact [email protected].
The winner of Ireland and Slovakia will meet either Bosnia Herzegovina or Northern Ireland for a place at Euro 2020.
