Deadline Day Transfer Talk: Sevilla target Samir Nasri for season-long loan

For the final time this year, Premier League teams have the chance to venture into the transfer market and make the final additions to their squads before they face into the season.

And while managers hastily look to make improvements to their squads, there are players who are aiming to secure first team football for the remainder of the season. Joe Hart's move to Torino was the perfect example of a player looking to jump ship before being tied down to months of sitting on the bench.

Samir Nasri is one player who looks unlikely to be part of Pep Guardiola's revolution at Manchester City, as Sky Sports report that the Frenchman looks set to join Sevilla on a season-long loan.

The midfielder has more than 40 caps for France and featured as a substitute in Man City's 3-1 win over West Ham on Saturday. However, it looks as though he'll be on his way to the Spanish top flight.

Nasri made just 12 appearances for Manuel Pellegrini's side last year.

Jack Wilshire may not have to travel as far in search of first team football this season. Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Watford are all said to be interested in securing his services.

While Italian side Juventus and Roma were rumoured to be interested in taking him to Serie A, The Guardian now reckon it's Crystal Palace who lead the chase for his signature.

Alan Pardew is hoping to take the England international on a season-long loan as first-team opportunities have dried up in recent months. The 24-year-old has been hit by injury and falls down the pecking order behind new signing  Granit Xhaka, Mohamed Elneny and Santi Cazorla in central midfield.

Finally today, a number of Irish players are rumoured to be the subject of last minute deals. Norwich's Robbie Brady, Derby's Jeff Hendrick and Everton's James McCarthy may all be makig a move before the window closes at 11pm this evening.
