David Meyler's Team of the Season was revealed in all of it's glory on OTB AM this morning!
The former Republic of Ireland captain followed on from Nathan Murphy last week by taking on the unenviable task of narrowing the season down to 11 individuals.
And while there were some obvious selections in the side, there were just five players doubled up across their two sides; Emiliano Martinez, Luke Shaw, Ruben Dias, Bruno Fernandes and Harry Kane.
Meyler's XI is split across seven different teams, with three each from champions Man City and runners-up Man United, with one each from Aston Villa, West Ham, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs.
Martinez takes his place between the sticks following an excellent debut season at Villa Park.
There were obvious selections in the back four in the likes of Footballer of the Year Ruben Dias, and Man United left back Luke Shaw.
Alongside Dias, Meyler has made what some would consider a surprising call in the form of Man United captain Harry Maguire, whose absence through injury in recent weeks reinforces his importance for United.
"He's come under a lot of scrutiny with the price tag, costing 80 million and there were some poor performances. If you looked in the last few games United have played since he's been out, you can see how much they miss him. He's kind of that focal point he holds them together, he's really come on leaps and bounds.
"Maybe it's the friend in me, but he's had a very good season, he should be very happy with how he's performed," he said.
Meanwhile at right back, Meyler opted for West Ham's Vladimir Coufal, who has proven to be the bargain of the season, having joined from Slavia Prague for just €6m last summer.
Coufal played 34 games across the season, contributing six assists for David Moyes's overachieving side.
"It's a tough one, Luke Ayling's had a terrific season, he's been brilliant, but Coufal; there's something special about him.
"The main part of West Ham's back four for the season, getting them into the Europa League. It's enough to get him in ahead of Ayling," Meyler says.
Meyler's team sees a midfield three of N'golo Kante, Kevin de Bruyne and Bruno Fernandes. As Meyler points out, it's an attacking trio, balanced out by Kante sitting in behind.
Kante's selection may have raised a few eyebrows, but Meyler says his influence has been huge in their Champions League push.
"Kante didn't get the rub of the green under Frank, Frank was playing him kind of here there and everywhere.
"Tuchel knows what's best for Kante. Play him and let him do what he does, since he's come in he's been one of the best midfielder sin the Premier League, and the Champions League.
"If Chelsea are going to beat Man City at the weekend, Kante will have to put in another massive performance, which he will mire than likely, whether they win I don't know. He has to be in there."
And completing David Meyler's Team of the Season are Man City's Phil Foden, Mo Salah of Liverpool and Spurs striker Harry Kane.
"It's been a good season for Salah. To lose out to Kane on the last day for Golden Boot, his goalscoring is still up there, I don't think that can be dismissed.
"He's churning out 20+ in a year that Liverpool struggled in large parts, I have to take my hat off to him.
Harry Kane, 23 goals, 14 assists, he's the first player since 1993/94 to win both the goals and assists-maker (Andy Cole!). The goals he scores, his range of passing...
"To win those awards kind of says to Tottenham, look I'm doing my bit, you're not following me or not helping me as much as you could do," Meyler added
