Coutinho will be Liverpool's new Suarez - Rodgers

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes the club have found their new Luis Suarez in Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazilian scored the winner as the Merseyside team came from behind to beat Bolton 2-1 and reach the FA Cup fifth round.

Coutinho has just signed a new 5-year contract, and Rodgers thinks the 22-year-old can go from strength to strength.

"You would just pay money to watch that kid. He'll become world class in the next couple of years with Luis Suarez. I can see Coutinho following in a similar sort of line. It might not be as prolific as Suarez was but he's certainly on the way to that level," said Rodgers.

Last night on Off The Ball, Sky Sports pundit and ex-Liverpool defender Phil Thompson heaped praise on the attacking midfielder, saying: "If he could finish better and more often, he would be world, world class".
