Ciaran Clark was the unlucky Ireland defender who put the ball into his own net as Ireland settled for a 1-1 draw against Sweden on Monday.
With Ireland in front, the Aston Villa centre-back nodded a Zlatan Ibrahimovic cross into his own net and the setback has obviously had an effect on the player as he revealed today.
"I found it hard to sleep after the game, to be honest, it kept going over in my head, but the next day you have just got to wake up and try to push that to one side and focus on the next game, which is what I have done.
"It's one of those things. You think about it that night and like I said, I found it hard to sleep after the game," said the defender who had been solid other than the own goal.
"Obviously it's disappointing for me personally. It's never nice to be the one the ball comes off and goes in."
