Chris Coleman issues message to Welsh fans delayed at Eurotunnel

Hundreds of Welsh fans travelling to France for their country's knockout tie with Belgium have been delayed due to a technical fault with the Eurotunnel LeShuttle.

The shuttle's passengers faced delays of up to five hours and will face a race against time to make kickoff for the game in Lille.

Regardless, Chris Coleman has issued a statement via the FA to ensure that those caught up in the travel delay know their support is appreciated.

Wales play Belgium at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille at 20:00 GMT in the biggest tie the country's national team has ever been involved in and interest in the game is high. Wales have relied heavily on the encouragement their supporters give them throughout the tournament and will have been looking to fill the stadium with as many Wales jerseys as possible.

The game will go ahead as scheduled, however, regardless of what happens with the Eurotunnel as UEFA believe most of the Welsh traveling fans will not be affected by the delay.
