Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has denied reports that they're about to sign Angel Gomes when his Manchester United contract expires tonight.
The former England under-18 captain, who made his first-team debut at 16, is set to depart Old Trafford as a free agent after turning down the offer of a new deal from the Red Devils.
"I can elaborate to the point that it's never been mentioned on my end. That's it. " Lampard said this afternoon when asked whether Chelsea had an agreement in place with the teenager.
Chelsea have also been linked with a move for former Republic of Ireland midfielder Declan Rice, who will play for West Ham against the Blues in the Premier League tomorrow.
"Declan Rice is a good player. I've known him for a long time, he was in Chelsea's academy but there's no talk," Lampard added.
"I'll keep saying it about every player that we'll be asked about until this season is finished - there's nothing to say."
The Chelsea boss also revealed that he'll likely be without winger Christian Pulisic and defender Andreas Christensen for that clash with the Hammers:
"Christian felt a bit of tightness in his calf just as he came off against Leicester, so we're managing him but I haven't got an answer yet.
"It feels a bit better than it did at the end of the game so we'll see by tomorrow.
"Andreas Christensen, likewise, is in the squad but we'll have to see but with another 24 hours because of the tight turnaround.
