Massimo Cellino says he will not be returning as Leeds United president after all.
The Italian businessman was forced to temporarily step down from the role last month while he serves-a suspension in Italy but says he will not now be resuming his position because he wants to focus on clearing his name.
In a statement on the club website, he said: "At first I suggested that my intention was to resume in April the office of President of Leeds United Football Club after expiration of the disqualification term. I will not do so and I had actually decided not to do so in January already, soon after the confirmation by the Football League of its verdict."
He added that he had delayed the announcement, until Leeds were in a less precarious position in the Championship table.
