Cameroon have booked their place in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations final after a 2-0 win over Ghana in Thursday night's semi final.
The Indomitable Lions have rich history in the competition having won it four times to date. They were facing a Ghana with the same number of titles but one that was more fancied than Cameroon to go all the way this year.
But a Cameroon team that has managed to edge their way out of the group stage all the way to the latter reaches found the winning formula again.
With 18 minutes to go and the scores locked at 0-0, Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui capitalised on a defensive mishap involving Ghana's defence and their goalkeeper Briham Razak.
A free kick into the box caused chaos and Ngadjui poked in to give Cameroon the lead.
And they made sure of their place in Sunday's decider Christian Bassogog found space on the break and finished past Razak.
Cameroon now face seven time record champions Egypt in the final.
While the Indomitable Lions, who famously reached the World Cup quarter finals in 1990, have not shone in this year's Nations Cup, they will feel they have a chance based on how they have managed to edge their way into a final.
They scored just three goals in the group stage and reached the semi final after penalty shootout against a strong Senegal side following a goalless draw.
Egypt defeated Burkina Faso on penalties on Wednesday night after a 1-1 draw.
