Bruno Fernandes says he is flattered after hearing Roy Keane and Gary Neville's comments regarding the impact he has made since joining the Lancashire club.
The Portuguese international has scored twice and provided 3 assists in just five Premier League apperances for United.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær's side are unbeaten in 11 games in all competitions since the player's arrival on British shores.
Gary Neville says the midfielder's impact has gone beyond what anyone had expected, and thinks his positive attitude is rubbing off on the whole Manchester United squad
“Bruno Fernandes has made an impact beyond what anyone could have expected. Not just in possession but out of possession - the way he sprints and gets at people.
“He is hungry and it looks like it is rubbing off on everyone" added Neville.
25-year-old Fernandes says it's a great feeling to hear such words from Manchester United legends.
He has been praised not just for his attacking flair and prowess but his tenacity off the ball.
The £67.6 million player told Sky Sports that the difference between him and other players is the attention to detail in how he critiques his all-round game.
"It's so nice to hear these kind of words from legends. When I react, I'm angry every time I lose the ball; every time I want more - this is the difference between me and some players.
"If you want to be better and better you need to look for details."
Roy Keane also praised the former Sporting captain and how quickly he settled, comparing him to a player that looked like he had been at United for 20 years.
United's former captain believes Fernandes is a player who can take them back to competing for league titles in the future.
“He has lifted everyone at the club, it is as if he has been there for 20 years.
"He has pure quality and looks like he is going to be a big player for United over the next few years.”
Fernandes says he plans to emulate the achievements of players like Neville and Keane, and wants to be remembered as a legend of Old Trafford long after his playing days come to a halt.
"These are big words from a big player.
"This is what I want to do in Manchester.
"I want to be the best I can, and if it's possible I want to remembered as one of the best in Manchester."
