Gareth Bale has signed a new contract with Real Madrid which will keep him at the club until June 30th, 2022.
The 27-year-old first joined the club from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 and has collected two Champions League titles along the way with the Spanish giants. He has scored 50 La Liga goals in 90 games and has hit seven goals so far this season.
A statement from the club writes that Bale will announce the new deal worth £600,000 a week (before tax) tomorrow, which will bring an end to the rumours that he was linked with a move to Manchester United.
The full statement reads:
"Real Madrid CF and Gareth Bale have agreed to the extension of the player 's contract, which is linked to the club until 30 June 2022. On Monday, at 13:30, Gareth Bale will appear before the media in the room press the Bernabeu."
