Reports in Brazil claim the national football federation (CBF) have asked CONMEBOL to name Chapecoense and Atletico Nacional as joint winners of the Copa Sudamericana.
Over 70 people died on board a plane that included the Chapecoense team, management and officials in Colombia. The team were travelling to Medellin to play Atletico Nacional in the first leg of the final.
The Copa Sudamericana is the South American equivalent of the Europa League, with the winners guaranteeing their place in next year's Cope Libertadores.

Chapecoense reached the final for the first time in the team's history, and the match in Colombia was set to be the biggest the club took part in since their 43-year existence.
According to Brazil's Globo, the move allowing joint-winners would allow both teams compete in next season's tournament. Chapecoense would be given an incentive to try and begin the heartbreaking rebuilding process with a season in South America's premier club competition.
Chapecoense defeated Argentine giants Independiente and San Lorenzo on their historic run to the final.
CONMEBOL have not commented on the future of the tournament, but did confirm that; "All activities of the Confederation are suspended until further notice."
