Shamrock Rovers overcame arch-rivals Bohemians 3-1 in the second round of the EA Sports Cup at Tallaght Stadium on Monday.
Rovers raced into an early lead when Darren Meenan put the hosts ahead with only two minutes on the clock.
Ian Morris drew the away side level after he capitalised on some poor defending from the Hoops.

Despite conceding, Rovers dominated the game and eventually pulled away in the second half when the lively Brandon Miele was rewarded for his efforts with two well taken goals.
The midfielder has now scored three goals in his last two matches.
Elsewhere, there was a late, late winner at the Showgrounds in Sligo after the officials played 25 minutes of added time.

Three ambulances were required during the match after BJ Banda, Harry Doherty and Packie Mailey were all taken to hospital - Banda and Doherty from a clash of heads while Mailey was injured in a tackle.

Mathew Stephens scored the winner in the 115th minute of the match to give the home side a 1-0 victory.
There were also wins for Cork City, Dundalk, St. Patrick's Athletic, Galway United, Waterford and Longford Town.
