'It's not like we're semi-professional pub standard'

Often giant killers do not follow the act of slaying big clubs by killing another giant in the following round of the FA Cup.

Not Bradford City. The club made sure their stunning victory over Chelsea was not in vain by beating Sunderland in Round 5 of the FA Cup.

One of the two goals came from Cork-born striker Billy Clarke with a little help from the Black Cats' defender John O'Shea.

"We controlled the game, really," said Clarke on Off The Ball tonight. "There weren't many scares. Obviously from the replays it was a penalty on [Sunderland's] Fletcher, but I think we've earned our luck there. Aside from that we didn't have any scares."

Clarke, who has been in good form, says it should not be such a surprise that Bradford are performing well.

"We have good players. It's not like we're semi-professional pub standard. We've got some good footballers in our team. We know we can mix and match it," said the 27-year-old former Ipswich youth player, who also spoke about a nomadic career, similar to Bradford team-mate Mark Yeates, who also spoke to Off The Ball recently.
