Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce says he has yet to be contacted about the vacant England manager's job.
That's despite reports that he is set to be interviewed about succeeding Roy Hodgson.
Allardyce is currently in Austria where he is supervising Sunderland's pre-season training, but he is emerged as one of the front-runners for the role since under-21s boss Gareth Southgate ruled himself out.
Arsene Wenger has not ruled out considering the position after his Arsenal contract expires next summer, while Jurgen Klinsmann is reported to have had talks with the FA.
