The FAI have confirmed the dates for a number of rearranged SSE Airtricity League and Extra.ie FAI Cup fixtures.
Following the recent positive COVID-19 tests in the Shamrock Rovers squad, their fixture against Derry City - originally scheduled for Friday October 15 - will now take place on Wednesday, October 28, with kick-off at 6pm.
The match will also be shown live on RTÉ 2 as The Hoops aim to clinch the title with a win.
Despite having four games left to play, Rovers could have been crowned Premier Division champions on Friday - if their game went ahead.
If Rovers beat Derry– coupled with Bohemians' draw away to Dundalk – Stephen Bradley's side would have had an unassailable lead at the top of the table.
Elsewhere, Finn Harps v Shamrock Rovers, originally scheduled for Monday, October 18, will now take place on Sunday, November 1, with kick-off at 7.45 pm. Harps will be looking for a win as they bid to beat the drop.
