Liverpool have been knocked out the Champions League after a 4-2 aggregate loss to Atletico Madrid, losing in heartbreaking fashion.
The defeat only tells part of the story, as Liverpool were 1-0 up for much of the match on the night after Georginio Wijnaldum put the Reds ahead.
Liverpool were dominant for the entire match, having 35 attempts on goal and 12 on target.
But they could not find the killer goal in the 90 minutes, with Jan Oblak producing a string of outstanding saves to deny them, with the woodwork playing its own part.
In extra time, Roberto Firmino headed against the post, only to slide past Oblak and send Anfield into a frenzy.

That elation lasted just three minutes when Adrián fluffed a clearance to Joao Felix, who slid in Marcos Llorente to slide past the Spaniard. To compound his night further, he slipped trying to save it.
Former Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata, sliding in Marcos Llorente to score in very similar fashion to before.
The tie was finished by Morata himself as Liverpool extended themselves to retrieve something from the match.
The night is the first European defeat at Anfield for Jurgen Klopp, as the European champions look ahead to claim their first Premier League title.
