Adnan Januzaj will join up with the man who gave him his Manchester United debut three years ago as his loan move to Sunderland has been confirmed.
The Belgian was seen as United's great white hope when he burst on the scene under Moyes but the 21-year-old's career has stagnated badly following a failed six-month loan spell at Borussia Dortmund along with falling out of favour under former Reds boss Louis van Gaal.
“Adnan will give us a different variation,” newly-appointed Moyes said at a press conference before the new season kicks off at the weekend.
“I have to get him back to the level he played at two years ago — he will get every opportunity to do the business. I’m hoping the Sunderland fans will see the real Adnan Januzaj.”
Sunderland have recently signed Donald Love and Paddy McNair as Moyes went back to his former club in order to strengthen a Sunderland squad that barely scraped out of the relegation zone last season before losing Sam Alardyce as he became the new England manager recently.
