Republic of Ireland striker Aaron Connolly has opened his goalscoring account for the season with a well-taken goal against Newcastle United in Brighton & Hove Albion's 3-0 win at St James' Park.
Two goals from Neal Maupay inside the opening seven minutes gave Graham Potter's men the perfect start as they raced into an early lead before Connolly wrapped up a comprehensive win.
However, Brighton's day was soured with a late red card for Yves Bissouma.
After an impressive win against West Ham United last week, Newcastle had a mountain to climb after a disastrous first seven minutes.
Maupay gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot, and he got his second of the game after converting Leandro Trossard's cross.
After a check by VAR, the goal stood.
Throughout the afternoon, Brighton wing-back Tariq Lamptey tormented Newcastle's backline and it came as no surprise that Brighton stretched their lead.
Newcastle failed to register a shot on target all afternoon and their misery was compounded in the dying stages when Connolly sealed the win with a fine curling finish.
Take a look at the Galway man's goal below.
Brighton blew Newcastle away with two goals inside the first seven minutes to secure their first Premier League win of the season.
