Siya Kolisi praises South African public after semi-final victory against Wales

South Africa captain Siya Kolisi expressed his delighted after the Boks booked their place in next Saturday's final against England.

The 'Springboks' saw off Wales in a underwhelming but tense semi-final clash in Yokohama. In all honesty both sides looked as though they played the game not to lose, instead of playing to win.

It will be a repeat of the 2007 World Cup final after Eddie Jones' England saw off the reigning World champions 19-7 in a other semi-final.

Kolisi says the victory means everything to the South African players, and believes the team have come together just at the right time, on and off the park.

The skipper says the squad has solidified despite coming from different social backgrounds.

"This means everything to us, as a team we all come from different backgrounds; and different everything.

He paid tribute to the South African fans that traveled to Japan, and all the fans that have supported the side from back home.

"To have so many people come from South Africa to come and support us. You know, it means the world to us. And the people back at home - we see your messages, it really means a lot to us. Keep on supporting us,' said the victorious skipper.

It will be South Africa's first final since their 15-6 final victory in Paris back in 2007 against England.

The game also marked Wales' coach Warren Gatland's last game in charge, the New Zealander calls it a day after 12 years in the job.

Next week's final between England and Southern Africa takes place at 9am in Tokyo's Nissan Stadium.
