'We're only going to get better' - Stephen Bradley on Hoops after FAI Cup win

Shamrock Rovers manager Stephen Bradley is targetting more success for his side after their dramatic win over Dundalk in the 2019 FAI Cup Final on Sunday.

The Hoops won on penalties after a 1-1 draw with the Lilywhites who were going for the first domestic treble in 30 years.

In his post-match press conference, Bradley said that they'll be back next season hungry for more success after ending a 32-year wait to lift the cup.

He also suggested they were unlucky with how the league panned out for them as Dundalk won it by 11 points.

"We obviously have to work.

"We want to go and build on this now and go and win whatever we can win next year.

"There was a period this year where we get a player sent off for the ball hitting them in the head, that means we're missing six players up in Dundalk for injuries and suspensions- four of them were defenders.

"I think people need to really take the emotion out and analyse the season for what it was.

"If you did that, there's not that big of a gap.

"I think the biggest gap and the biggest obstacle we had to overcome was understanding how to get over the line, how to win the big game.

"We've done that today, you can't give that to people, you have to earn it and we've earned that today.

"I honestly believe this group will only get better and stronger and grow from this."
