Newcastle United vs Manchester City looked to be the deadest of dead rubbers buried on a Friday night but the shock inclusion of Scott Carson in Pep Guardiola's starting line-up set social media ablaze.
The 35-year-old Carson has not played in the Premier League in over 10 years but tonight he was welcomed onto the pitch with a guard of honour as a Premier League Champion.
Prior to kick-off, Carson spoke to Sky Sports and his happiness and excitement was clear to see.

"I'm over the moon to get a chance to play," Carson began.
"There was a chance I could have played last season but obviously Ederson was going for the golden glove.
"The goalkeeping coach told me yesterday and so I'm obviously delighted, I thought my Premier League days were over but thankfully I have never given up and I have got a chance tonight.
"Of course I was surprised but obviously since I've been here, I've just tried to work as hard as I can and be there if needed and thankfully the manager has obviously seen that and he's given me a game tonight."
