WATCH | Scott Brown caught out by hot mic on Celtic farewell

Scott Brown has bid farewell to Parkhead after ten years as a Celtic player - and got caught out swearing on a hot mic for good measure.

Brown will join Aberdeen this summer, after a decade at Parkhead during one of the most-decorated periods of the club's history.

"Aye, play that song again, that's a great tune," Brown says to someone off-camera before an interview with Sky Sports. "Just put Scooter on, fuck me!"

Prior to his departure, Brown explained how his famous 'Broony' celebration came about.

"We went down to 10 men. a goal behind and we managed to dig deep. Lenny [Neil Lennon] was the manager at the time; coming in at half-time, we're thinking 'oh no, what are we going to do here?'

"We came out second half and were dictating the play with 10 men - we're thinking: 'we've got this'. Mark Wilson got the ball on the right-wing, he managed to cut the ball back to me and I took a good touch and thought 'I should really hit this.'

"Luckily enough for me, [El-Hadji Diouf] was standing right in front of me. We had a running battle for about two years. I loved it, that is part and parcel of football.

"You want to get the better of someone - sometimes I got the better of him, and there are times when he'd say he got the better of me. That day, I got the better of him."

Farewell

"I got more shock than anything," Brown said of discovering Diouf right beside him one he had scored.

"I turned around, Gary Hooper and Joe Ledley started to run towards me and your man was in front of me. I just stood up and showed him who was boss."

Diouf was Brown's favourite Rangers opponent at the time of a fierce battle between the two Glasgow clubs.

"He was the main one. I used to play against my mate Kevin Thomson, it was always hard playing against mates because we were both in central midfield together.

"This game I ended up playing right-mid because we were down to 10 men. It was always hard playing against mates."
