Scotland's Tommy Seymour has retired from international rugby.
The Glasgow Warriors winger made 55 appearances for his country and was part of the British & Irish Lions tour to New Zealand in 2017.
Seymour only qualified for Scotland through his Glasgow-born mother having been born and raised in Nashville before moves to Dubai and Belfast.
He made his international bow against South Africa in Nelspruit in 2013 having been part of the squad in the 2012 autumn internationals.
The 20-time try-scorer at international level said in a statement, "Playing for Scotland has been the greatest honour.
"The pride from wearing the thistle on my chest is one of the most powerful feelings I’ve experienced.
"It was in every way a dream come true and an amazing journey to share with friends, family and the Scotland supporters."
Seymour was part of the Scotland squads at the 2015 and 2019 Rugby World Cups, with his final appearance for his country coming in October's 28-21 loss to Japan in Yokohama.
He finished the 2017 Lions tour as their top try-scorer, aided by a brace against the Hurricanes in Wellington. Seymour did not feature in any of Warren Gatland's Test sides against the All Blacks.
His current Scotland and former Glasgow head coach Gregor Townsend paid tribute to Seymour, highlighting "one of the best try-scoring rates for Scotland".
Townsend told the Scottish Rugby site, "His game was very well suited to the demands of Test rugby, as he had a high work-rate, world-class aerial skills and a very good awareness of when to get on to ball.
"When he got the opportunity to play regularly - first at Glasgow and then with Scotland - he went from strength to strength, adding elements to his game each season.
"He’s been fantastic to work with and always gave everything for Scotland. We wish him well for the rest of his playing career with Glasgow."
