Scotland have accepted their punishment from World Rugby for threatening to take legal action against them during the Rugby World Cup.
It was due to the prospect of their crucial Pool A game against Japan being cancelled because of the super-typhoon Hagibis.
Scotland CEO chief executive Mark Dodson had threatened to go down the legal route had the game been called off:
“My view is that we’re not going to let Scotland be the collateral damage for a decision that was taken in haste.
“We have been preparing for this tournament now for four years, the guys have had over 100 days in camp, we’ve played games already and the fourth game in this particular case is pivotal.
“We’ve had consistent dialogue since the last three or four days around this with senior people at World Rugby, but World Rugby seem to be determined to stick to its plan that the match is either played on Sunday or indeed it is cancelled, and to have it cancelled and have our ability to progress from this group put at peril, we believe is absolutely unacceptable."
The match went ahead and the tournament hosts won 28-21 to send the Scots home.
World Rugby says Scotland has "expressed its regret" over the legal threats and have now paid a fine of 70-thousand pounds.

"World Rugby can confirm that the Scottish Rugby Union has expressed its regret and has confirmed it will not challenge World Rugby further on this matter," world rugby's governing body confirmed in a statement.
"The Scottish Rugby Union has agreed to pay a donation of £70,000 to World Rugby and the matter is now closed. There will be no further comment from either party."
