Tomane ready to return from injury for Leinster ahead of Saints double-header

Leinster should have centre Joe Tomane available for selection once again, as their pool-defining double header with the Northampton Saints approaches in the next fortnight.

The Australia international was a late withdrawal from their opening Pool 1 win against Benetton due to a hamstring injury and missed the subsequent wins against Lyon and the Glasgow Warriors.

However he's set to be available if needed for Leo Cullen, ahead of this Saturday's trip to Franklin's Gardens, as well as the return fixture in Dublin on Saturday week.

With Leinster resting their front-line players for last Saturday's victory against Glasgow, the province have close to a full hand available, with the mid-round games against the Saints set to have a major say on their quarter-final fate.

Fergus McFadden came through his return from an elbow injury unscathed, but Peter Dooley's knee injury and Josh Murphy's HIA could leave them doubtful.

Leinster remain well clear at the top of Conference Ain the PRO 14 after their 23-10 win away to Glasgow at the weekend.

Leo Cullen's side earned a thirteen-point win in cold conditions, with Cian Kelleher crossing over for two first-half tries.

That brings their season record to 9 wins from 9 games, but they face arguably their toughest assignment of the season when they visit the Premiership side on Saturday.

The Saints were impressive 36-13 winners against the Leicester Tigers in their midlands derby at the weekend, with Chris Boyd's side now to of the Premiership, two clear of Bristol, after winning four of their first five games.

They currently share first place with Leinster at the top of their Heineken Champions Cup pool, with nine points from their opening two games.
