Ulster have continued a busy week of issuing new contracts with three more players committing their futures to the province.
Michael Lowry, Sam Carter and Tom Stewart will all stay with Ulster through to the end of the 2022-23 season.
This week has seen the northern province snap up former European Player of the Year Leone Nakarawa on a one-year contract. The Fijian will join in the summer.
Rob Herring, Ian Madigan, Craig Gilroy and Robert Baloucoune are just some of those to sign new deals at Kingspan Stadium.
22-year old Lowry has operated more at full-back, having originally come through as an out-half. Head coach Dan McFarland said, "Michael has become a well-established part of our team.
"As one of a crop of outstanding young players, he also understands the role he is going to play in driving this organisation to where he wants it to go.
"I’m looking forward to seeing him continue to thrive here at Ulster for the next two years.”
Former Wallaby Sam Carter joined from the Brumbies in 2019, and has become one of the pillars of the Ulster pack over the past 18-months.
McFarland said of Carter's extension, "Sam has fitted into our squad and the way we do things superbly, demonstrated by the fact that he has led the team on a number of occasions.
"He is a very experienced international player who excels in the nuts and bolts of front five play.”
Completing the trio is 20-year old hooker Stewart. The 2019 Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Player of the Year played in Ireland's abandoned U20 Six Nations campaign.
He'll spend one year as a development player, before graduating to senior terms for 2022-23.
"Tom has shown great promise at Irish U20 level and in training with the Ulster squad before injury hampered his opportunities to play this season," McFarland said.
"He is a very dynamic player and has a bright future ahead. There is no doubt he will have more opportunities in the near future."
