'Sexton will come back to Leinster a better player'

It appears as if Jonny Sexton will return to Leinster at the end of the upcoming season and former Leinster and Toulouse back row Aidan McCullen believes he will return an even better player after two seasons in France.

"Regardless of what happened in those two years, he'll come back a better player," McCullen told Oisin Langan on the Monday Rewind.

"A lot of good things came through him. He wasn't on the same wavelength as a lot of the other players [at Racing Metro]. He was on a higher wavelength and the other players didn't seem to synchronize with him. He had that at Leinster because he grew into the team and the experience of the O'Driscoll and D'Arcy centre partnership. Him bringing that back to a team where he's on the same wavelength is a big thing for him."

Meanwhile, Ian Madigan's development may have to continue at 12 rather than 10 due to Sexton's arrival, citing Gordon D'Arcy's own positional change as an example.
