"It's the best book I've read" | Ronan O'Gara's reading recommendation

As he tries to keep his young children occupied from the confines of the family home in France, Ronan O'Gara has found some time to do a bit of reading as he explained on Friday's OTB AM

Although the time will likely come where the former Munster and Ireland out-half regales us with his top-5 sports documentaries or what he highly recommends from Netflix, Ronan O'Gara used Friday's appearance on OTB AM to recommend a book for you to read during this unusual period of isolation.

"I'm reading a brilliant book," he announced, "Pebbles of Perception: How a few good choices make all the difference.

"It's from a guy who grew up in Cork and now he's living in Dalkey I think, Laurence Endersen. It is a great book."

Published in 2014, Ronan O'Gara was impressed with the Endersen's book for the purposes of what it said to him about his own life.

"Maybe it is just because I'm at this stage of my coaching journey," he stated by way of explaining the book's appeal, "and it is a bit of a 'life book' but it comes highly recommended to people if they're looking for something to stimulate them over the next few weeks.

"Basically, it is a little bit of a road map. As you get older, you get wiser. This book wants to make you wiser at a younger age, does that make sense?

"It's a Cork guy's journey. He's well-read, highly intelligent and he basically sought out a lot of good people and gives you a bit of a plan and advice."

Without question, the product of Laurence Endersen's project has had a profound impact on O'Gara.

"It is fascinating," he affirmed. "For me, it was the best book I've read, anyway."
