Pro 12 Round-up: Stirring Munster comeback spurs return to summit

A trio of victories for Munster, Ulster and Connacht on Saturday means all four Irish provinces have secured wins for the second Guinness Pro 12 weekend in succession.

Coupled with victory for Leinster against Edinburgh on Friday night, the Irish sides were able to repeat the positive results from the previous weekend this time round.

Munster showed resolve in their fixture at fellow Pro 12 title challengers Ospreys, coming from behind to secure a last gasp 25-23 victory in Wales.

Rassie Erasmus' side ran in three tries with Jack O'Donoghue and Francis Saili's efforts added to by what proved to be the equalising try from David Kilcoyne with just two minutes to go.

Tyler Bleyendaal's conversion pushed Munster two points ahead and secured the comeback victory to send them back above Leinster, where they are now three points clear at the top of the Pro 12 table.

Ospreys remain third, four points behind Munster as the Welsh side secured a losing bonus point.

Connacht were the final Irish province to take to the field as they welcomed Dragons to the Sportsground and a good first half proved the platform for Pat Lam's side as they won a tight game 14-9.

Early tries from Tiernan O'Halloran and Caolin Blade meant Connacht were able to take a 14-3 lead into the break.

Dragons penalties from Angus O'Brien saw the away side claw back at the lead but Connacht held on for victory.

Earlier, Ulster had earned a bonus point victory over Glasgow Warriors at Kingspan Stadium.

Tries from Tommy Bowe, Sean Reidy, Jacob Stockdale (2) and the impressive Ruan Pienaar helped them to a 37-17 win which helps them maintain their chase of the Top Four places.
