While the margin was only 12 points, in the end, Ireland were well and truly hammered by England in a day that a number of leading players will want to forget.
Wholesale changes will surely be made for the next game against Italy but there is certainly an argument for those changes to remain in place for the future.

15. Jordan Larmour: 4
Did little to nothing although he was given very little opportunity to shine. He can at least be thankful for escaping injury after a worrying couple of minutes after becoming trapped under a ruck.
14. Andrew Conway: 5
Started the game well with a solid tackle on a rampaging Manu Tuilagi but drifted out of the game from there on out. Still, he was one of Ireland's better players on a dark day.
13. Robbie Henshaw: 7
Took his try very well and did well with his former Connacht teammate in defence in the middle of the field. His team misfired but Henshaw can be happy enough with his performance.
12. Bundee Aki: 6
Offered plenty in attack and defence but was unable to make a significant impact. Still, the centre pairing had a decent day out.
11. Jacob Stockdale: 4
Not sure even he knew what he was doing for England's second try. Grew into the game as it dragged on but was unable to make up for his early mistake.
10. Johnny Sexton: 3
Arguably Sexton's worst performance for his country. His early fumble aside, he kicked poorly and was caught out a number of times by England's rush defence.
9. Conor Murray: 3
Kicked poorly and ponderous as always at the base. Looked to be slowly regaining after last week's win over Wales but was nowhere near good enough today. John Cooney will likely start against Italy but should be Ireland's first choice scrum-half from now on.
8. CJ Stander: 8
The diamond in the rough. Carried and tackled well and got a few nice shots in on Owen Farrell at the start of the second half to top it all off.
7. Josh van der Flier: 5
Kept busy in defence but offered little to nothing in attack. Usually a very consistent performer but failed to stamp his mark on the game.
6. Peter O'Mahony: 4
While he wasn't the worst player on the pitch it's difficult to make an argument for the Munster captain to retain his role in Ireland's starting team. Caelan Doris made more impact in his short cameo than O'Mahony did in his time on the pitch and should start ahead of him in future.
5. James Ryan: 5
Made 12 carries but only five metres. While he kept himself busy he simply just didn't have an impact against the powerful English pack.
4. Devin Toner: 4
His first start for his country since before the World Cup and it may be his last for a while. Just didn't do enough in a game where the English certainly wanted it more.
3. Tadhg Furlong: 4
Came off after 57 minutes, which is quite early for the big man. The scrum was once again shaky for Ireland and he was uncharacteristically quiet in attack.
2. Rob Herring: 5
The lineout performed quite well but the Ulster hooker should be looking to do more in the loose. Only made one run on a day when his team badly needed some strong carries.
1. Cian Healy: 5
Came off just before the half-hour mark with an injury. Wasn't playing badly but certainly didn't stand out in a horrendous opening 30 minutes for Ireland.
Replacements: 7
One of the rare bright lights for Ireland today, many substitutes made a strong claim to feature in a starting role in the near future. Cooney made some lovely runs and upped the tempo in general while Doris also made a few powerful carries. They weren't able to massively change the complexion of the game but they performed better than many of the starters.
